What is the Jobcentre coming to?
I went in to get my employment support allowance – I had a doctors note and everything else I needed. The woman at the desk looked at me and said: ‘you don’t look sick – you’re wearing hair gel!’ and refused to give me anything.

What do you mean by "I went in to get my employment support allowance?"
I had to phone a premium rate number for a few minutes to register and then wait for them to ring me back a couple of hours later to spend 40 minutes going through all the questions to actually make my claim. You don't need a doctor's note for the first week but even so, it took them nearly six weeks to pay me anything. And I had been on JSA for 13 weeks immediately before (so there was almost no new info they did not already have). I had an accident on the way to my JSA 13-week review and was hospitalised.
