Personal Consultant
Purpose of Job
To establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, partners and employers understanding and meeting their needs to achieve contract and company targets in relation to sustained job outcomes.
Principal accountabilities / Key results areas
To manage a caseload of clients with the aim of working with them to achieve sustained employment, ensuring that all actions taken adhere to quality guidelines and compliance.
Maintain and complete quality paperwork and client records which will ensure that contract compliance guidelines are adhered to.
Coordinate and structure internal and external meetings to ensure that both clients and service providers receive a professional level of customer service in line with the needs of individual client and business goals.
Identify, structure and recommend vacancy and training solutions which will meet the specific needs of clients and employers.
Maintain established financial processes and procedures to ensure individual and office budgets are adhered to.
Establish and maintain effective lines of communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of all processes.
Develop and secure long-term relationships with clients, employers and service providers to ensure repeat business and meet organisational goals.
Knowledge and Experience
Knowledge of local labour market.
Knowledge of recruitment related legislation.
Knowledge of IT systems such as CJM, Adept, Excel and Microsoft Office packages.
Experience of working in a structured Customer Service environment.
Experience of relationship management, networking and partnership building.

Purpose of the job
To be a driving force in the delivery and design of programme content that will enthuse and motivate people to progress towards employment and to get on in the workplace. To play a key role in helping individuals to develop the skills that will make a real difference to their lives and their futures.
Principal accountabilities / Key result areas
To deliver and evaluate programme content to meet needs of our learners and contracts across multiple sites.
To feed into the continuous improvement of programme content and associated materials to help drive performance and quality of provision.
To ensure that all activities are designed, planned and delivered effectively, enabling all learners to meet agreed goals.
To assist in the achievement of contractual performance targets through delivering against a range of contract measures.
To plan, prepare and complete all necessary documentation to ensure adherence to contract / quality compliance, Awarding Body and inspection requirements.
To take ownership of personal continuing professional development (CPD) to maintain professional standards in line with QTLS.
To ensure adherence to Health and Safety (including Safe Learner concept), Equal Opportunities and Code of Conduct policies and that all learners are given fair access to opportunities.
Knowledge and experience
Essential
Certificate in Adult Learning for example Cert Ed or C&G 7407 or equivalent (or be willing to work towards).
Subject Specialism for example vocational/literacy/numeracy/ESOL/employability at an appropriate level (or be wiling to work towards).
Experience in delivering one to one and group sessions.
Ability to agree ‘SMARTER’ objectives and to monitor and review progress towards achievement.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to respect and respond to the diverse needs of people on programme.
Ability to devise appropriate, interesting and meaningful learning activities.
Experienced in giving constructive feedback.
Ability to positively address/challenge inappropriate behaviour.
Desirable
Experience in delivering differentiated learning.
Knowledge of strategies relevant to teaching and learning.
A1/A2 (D32/D33) and V1 (D34) Assessor/Verifier awards, (or be interested in working towards).
PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS qualifications.
Ability to deliver in other languages appropriate to the local labour market.

Activities
Conduct individual and group initial assessments, inductions and interviews with prospective learners prior to commencement of training to determine existing skills, work history, potential job areas, identify any barriers, encourage participation and provide information on their programmes.
Assist learners in the production of ‘SMART’ plans of activity (for example ILPs/ITPs/Action Plans) which will include a range of activities such as; job search with activity logs, CVs, interview skills and techniques, achievement of qualifications etc.
Through on-going assessment and reviews, monitor and ensure learners achieve agreed objectives for targeted activities throughout their programme.
Manage group dynamics and inspiring group and individual expectations.
Facilitate learning and encourage active participation.
Inspire confidence and raise self-esteem.
Build rapport with learners to encourage independent learning.
Prepare and collate all resources to ensure effective delivery.
Utilise all available jobsearch tools and techniques to support individuals’ progression into work.
Effectively manage learner development, attendance and challenging behaviours.
Complete all relevant administration and paperwork accurately, efficiently in a timely manner to ensure adherence to quality and contractual compliance requirements.
