I do believe they only recently took over as the umbrella organisation over TNG, Armstrong Learning and several other smaller providers in this area and as I am about to start FND soon, I need to know if there's anything I should know about this company beforehand.

Today, I had interview stages 1&2 (due to weather issues at the beginning of the year and other issues regarding getting Peopleserve up and running) and I have to admit, even though the room was crowded and that there was a lot of stuff to get through, it was FANTASTIC! A refreshing change to places like TNG who take nothing on board of what you say to them - Peopleserve does exactly what it says on the tin!
As a result, I've managed to get onto the FND course I want to go on and I can't tell you how thrilled I am!
The staff are polite, friendly and don't look down their noses at you too.
I do hope the Peopleserve ethos kills the likes of TNG stone dead!!Granted, nobody likes paperwork, me especially, but compared with TNG (my last experience anyway) the paperwork was more geared to what you can actually do rather than stuff you wouldn't be able to do. Because I have an ongoing medical condition and I am marked down as being disabled, it was so nice to be able to fill a form in rather than discuss it with someone more happy to doodle on a notepad and ocassionally grunting an acknowledgement and then disregarding your limitations!
I thought I'd died and gone to Job Seekers heaven...
There was a partially sighted person there and they went out of their way to make sure that they could keep up with the rest of us - I was impressed!
I would never see that at TNG.. in fact, I never saw that at TNG... there was someone at TNG who had lost half an arm... they thought he'd be a great shelf-stacker...Anyway, I'm still on a high after today and Peopleserve gets a big thumbs up from me. ALL centres geared towards job seekers should be like that.
The TNG model is officially dead. I will thank my advisor when I next sign on :-DPosted 3 weeks ago #

A couple of days on and I still can't believe it. When asked on Thursday about previous courses, 'so what did you think of TNG?' - needless to say, it's the first time I've heard several voices in unison utter the same word (rhymes with 'bit')
The relaxed atmosphere was a breath of fresh air and because a couple of people said it was too warm, they opened windows and turned the heating down without grumbling...
"Anything you want to do, let us know. X is going round the room with a piece of paper, just tell him and we'll sort it out. TODAY.'
And thats exactly what they did... and there must've been 25 people in attendance.
They didn't fly off the handle when I mentioned several doctors appointments I've got coming up either - in fact, unlike TNG who'd have said 'cant you change that appointment' - these guys *understood*.I have nothing but praise and I'm actually (for the first time) looking forward to my FND course.
In fact, there hasn't been anything better to give me good reason to wear a near semi-permanent cheesey grin!"If you need IT help - we can do that. If you need help with letters, CVs and the likes - we can do that. Anything at all, ask, and we'll do everything we can to help!"
Words never uttered by anyone at TNG...I'm still amazed by whats happened.
