Dencora House, a YMCA Training run detention centre financed by the Department for Works and Pensions,situated at Units 6-10 34 White House Road Ipswich has been granted full planning consent for change of use from B1 offices to D1 non-residential education and training (Application No: IP/09/00502/FUL).
Mr Sibthorp spoke for the application:-
- Application is for the renewal of a temporary permission.
- Previous temporary consent was granted so impact could be assessed
and management plan agreed.
- All participants have to be inducted.
- No problems within last year.
- Appropriate location for use.
- Similar organisations elsewhere within employment areas.
- Has created 18 jobsRESOLVED:-
Grant Full Planning Permission upon condition that:-
1. The use of the site is to be in accordance with the Management Plan approved under condition 2 of planning permission Register Index no: IP/08/00384/FUL and included as Enclosure 2 to the submitted Planning Statement received on the 27 July 2009. The management plan as agreed is to be adhered to in perpetuity unless otherwise agreed in writing with the Local Planning Authority.
